What does Mayflower believe about the Bible\u2019s teachings?<\/strong><\/h4>\n

We believe in the triune God<\/strong>: Creator, Jesus and Holy Spirit.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We believe that each person is unique and valuable. We believe that each person is on a spiritual journey and that the persistent search for God produces an authentic relationship with God. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

We believe that all the baptized belong body and soul to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We believe that all people of faith are invited to join Christ at Christ\u2019s table for the sacrament of Communion. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

We believe the United Church of Christ is called to be a united and uniting church. \u201cThat they may all be one.\u201d (John 17:21)<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We believe that God calls us to be servants in the service of others and to be good stewards of the earth\u2019s resources. <\/strong><\/h3>\n

We believe that the UCC is called to be a prophetic church. God calls the church to speak truth to power, liberate the oppressed, care for the poor and comfort the afflicted.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We believe in the power of peace<\/strong>, and work for nonviolent solutions to local, national, and international problems.<\/strong><\/h3>\n

We are a people of possibility.<\/em> In the UCC, members, congregations and structures have the breathing room to explore and to hear \u2026 for after all, God is still speaking, \u2026 \u201cNo matter who \u2013 no matter what \u2013 no matter where we are on life\u2019s journey \u2013 notwithstanding race, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, class or creed \u2013 we all belong to God and to one worldwide community of faith, no matter where your journey leads you.\u2018<\/strong><\/h3>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
